The do’s & don’ts about knowing your audience

Hey there! 🌟 I've got a burning question for you – do you truly understand your audience? Are you creating content based on assumptions, trendy strategies, or the voices of a select few? Let's dive into the do's and don'ts of knowing your audience!

First things first – let's ditch the assumptions about what people want from us. Heck, none of us really know what our audience wants. I don't know, and you probably don't either. All we know is that we try things, and it either works or it doesn't. No assumptions here! 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♂️

Stop pretending to know your audience inside out because the market is ever-changing, and people are evolving. With a plethora of individuals on the internet, it's a bit unrealistic to think we can fully grasp their desires. People often barely know what they want themselves! So, why waste time assuming?

Testing is key, and I've mentioned this before. Drop the ego – don't be the "I know best" person. Instead, detach your identity from your offer and focus on who you want to serve. Identify your audience and make it about them, not you. 🌐

Personally, I adore working with entrepreneurs for two key reasons:

  1. They love growth – both personally and in their businesses. 🌱

  2. Online entrepreneurs are often change-makers with a powerful message, transforming lives. 🌍

Once you've identified who you want to serve, the next critical questions are: What do they want, and what do they need? Tailor your content to address their current needs, whether it's refining messaging, generating leads through emails and DMs, or creating valuable content on social media. 📧💬

Now, let's get practical. The next time you're brainstorming content ideas for your business, ask yourself: What does your audience need right now? How can you make their lives easier? Remove yourself from the equation and avoid assumptions. Focus on delivering what they truly need. 💡

Remember, it's not about what you want; it's about meeting your audience's needs. Happy content writing! 🌈✨
